My question is in regards to your Page Speed Booster Shopify app, in the app's description, it states that it boosts a page's speed by pre-loading a page that it predicts a consumer will click on, but if they are using mobile and most phones are touchscreen, how will the page booster predict what the consumer will click on when taps from a finger and instant, and therefore many not enable predictability.
This is really an interesting question, and this exactly was the point which gave my team a headache before
Although my following writing is something technical, but I am willing to explain this for you, to help you get through the question: - In mobile, we have a technique to detect when the user touches an element (technically it called 'touchstart event') and when the user removes the finger from that element. And our app does its job between those 2 moments. And according to studies, the average time is about 65ms (for me, it's almost 1s). Actually this is nothing to a man but it does mean much to a device, it can do tons of tasks within this time. - Right after the touchstart event, if the finger is on a true link, the Page Speed Booster immediately and quickly do the pre-loading tasks. All of these tasks can be done in just a couple milliseconds.
No worries, if you are still having doubts about this, we provide an option called Intensity. If you choose "When the link is visible on the screen" value, all of the links visible on the screen will be pre-loaded no matter if users touch them or not:
I hope this makes sense
Thank you so much, and I wish you and your loved ones all the best this coming New Year!
