I would like to add a buy now button next to the price for each collection and on the homepage. Also I have been having issues getting the same products to show compare at prices when on sale. Do you know why this would be?

Regarding your request, the theme has been supporting the 'Add to cart' button if your product has single variant. If your product has various variants, it will display the 'Select option' please check my video to make sense : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByoEXBTrpkeTbi1JU1VlUldETzg/view
This is because if your product has some variant, your customer could choose the other variants, so that they have to go to the Product page. If the product has only one variant, the customers don't need to check the other variants and the could add to cart immediately.
Regarding the issue with the discount price. Please send me an invitation for staff account via email [email protected]and we are going to check it for you.
Please let me know as soon as the invitation sent.
